Dar es Salaam: In another strong example of diplomatic tourism and international cooperation, Tanzania recently hosted a high-level delegation from the Czech Republic for a special tour focused on wildlife conservation and tourism development.
The delegation, led by Radka Konderlova, Director General of the Industrial Cooperation Unit in the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, visited the renowned Pande Game Reserve, a wildlife reserve managed by the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) in Dar es Salaam on April 20, 2026.
The visit highlights Tanzania’s growing profile as a destination for diplomatic, educational, and conservation-based tourism.

Discovering Pande Game Reserve
Pande Game Reserve is a protected area located in Mabwepande Ward of Kinondoni District and Mbezi Ward of Ubungo District in Dar es Salaam Region.
The reserve covers an area of approximately 15.39 square kilometres and has a rich conservation history. It was first established as a Forest Reserve in 1952 during the British colonial administration before later being upgraded to a game reserve to strengthen wildlife protection and eco-tourism development.
Today, the reserve serves as an important sanctuary for biodiversity conservation and a unique eco-tourism attraction within Tanzania’s commercial capital.
