MASSANA G. MWISHAWA SWORN IN AS TANAPA COMMISSIONER FOR CONSERVATION

Arusha, Tanzania – July 9, 2026 — The Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) has welcomed new conservation leadership following the official swearing-in of Massana G. Mwishawa as Commissioner for Conservation of the organization.
The ceremony was conducted at the TANAPA Headquarters in Arusha, marking an important step in strengthening the management, protection, and sustainable development of Tanzania’s national parks.
The swearing-in ceremony was officiated by the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Hon. Dr. Ashatu Kijaji (MP), who administered the oath to the newly appointed Commissioner for Conservation.
The event took place at 4:00 a.m. at the TANAPA Headquarters in Arusha, bringing together senior government officials, conservation stakeholders, and TANAPA leadership.
