Upon arrival at Mwanza Airport, you will be warmly received by your guide and transferred to Rubondo Island by boat or scheduled transfer. As you approach the island, enjoy scenic views of Lake Victoria, including the spectacular deep-water area known as Irumo, one of the lake’s deepest points.
After check-in at your accommodation, begin exploring the island’s rich ecosystems. Activities may include a guided nature walk, wildlife viewing, or relaxing by the beach while enjoying panoramic lake views. Rubondo offers excellent opportunities to spot unique species such as aquatic sitatunga, giraffes, bushbucks, and various primates within dense tropical forest.
