You’ll be off to the park headquarters for a briefing after having breakfast. The guide at Kibale national park will guide you through the woods to observe chimpanzees and other primates, including red colobus monkeys. Trekking is the next step after which you’ll have a picnic and then drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, where you can explore the stunning Rwenzori foothills before arriving in the evening. Stay and sleep at your preferred place. The journey will last for 3 – 4 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll be ready to unpack and enjoy your evening meal. Take a trip to the equator after your game drive and experience the Equator. During the afternoon, go on a launch cruise inside Queen Elizabeth Park along the Kazinga channel, where you can get swarmed by hippos and crocodiles, as well as an array of birds in the bay. The cruise takes 2 hours. After the cruise head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Start your day with breakfast and get ready to trek. Gear up for some bottled drinking water, a raincoat, and eat lunch provided by the lodge. Visit the UWA headquarters for briefing from UWA stuff, then join a group of up to 8 people and be guided on navigating through the dense forest in search of the gorillas. Upon reaching the gorilla population, you’ll have an extraordinary one-hour experience observing and taking photos of the wild mountain goats. Observe their conduct and conservation initiatives.’ In the afternoon, participate in an optional Batwa community walk.
