Serengeti National Park | African Environments
Walking in the Serengeti is safari in its purest form. No tracks, no permanent camps, no other vehicles — just vast, open wilderness and the freedom to move through it slowly, thoughtfully, and on foot. This is not about covering distance; it’s about learning to read the land, understanding wildlife behaviour, and experiencing Africa at ground level.
Each walk is shaped by the landscape, the wildlife, and the interests of the group. One moment you may be following a line of lion tracks across open plains, the next sitting quietly above a waterhole watching animals come in to drink. This is true exploration, guided by instinct, experience, and deep bush knowledge.
All walks are led by highly trained African Environments walking guides, accompanied by an armed park ranger. For larger groups, a second guide walks mid-group. Lightweight wilderness camps are moved daily and set up exclusively for your party, ensuring minimal environmental impact and complete privacy.
