Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Arusha
Depart early in the morning from Arusha City and drive west toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the scenic highlands of Karatu before ascending to the crater rim. Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas. The crater floor offers excellent wildlife viewing in a compact area, with chances to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife around Lake Magadi. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site inside the crater while taking in the dramatic surroundings. In the afternoon, continue game viewing before ascending back to the rim and beginning the return drive to Arusha, arriving in the early evening with unforgettable memories of this unique natural wonder.
