Day Trip to Arusha National Park

Day 1: Arusha City – Arusha National Park – Arusha City

Depart Arusha City in the morning for the short drive (about 45 minutes) to Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse parks. Upon arrival, begin a game drive through the park’s varied habitats, including montane forest, open grasslands, and the shores of Momella Lakes, where you may see giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, and abundant birdlife such as flamingos and pelicans. Optional Continue with a guided walking safari in a designated area, offering a closer look at wildlife, plants, and volcanic landscapes with Mount Meru towering in the background. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring different sections of the park. In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive back to Arusha City, arriving in the early evening with memorable views and experiences from the day.
