DAY TRIP TO ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Morning: Park Entry and Game Drive • 8:00 AM: Your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. The journey to Arusha National Park takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour. • 9:00 AM: Arrive at the park gate, where your guide will handle the park entry and ranger fees. The vehicle will be ready for your first game drive. • 9:30 AM: Begin a scenic game drive through the park's diverse landscapes, including the open grasslands and the lush montane forest. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and the rare black-and-white colobus monkeys. • 11:00 AM: The game drive will lead you to one of the Momella Lakes. Here, you will have the option to begin your canoeing safari. This is a unique and peaceful way to experience the park, paddling along the shores and observing the many water birds, including flamingos, pelicans, and hippos. Midday: Lunch and Walking Safari • 1:00 PM: After your canoe trip, your guide will find a picturesque picnic spot. You will enjoy a packed lunch along with snacks and drinks, with views of the park's beautiful scenery. • 2:00 PM: Start your guided walking safari. Accompanied by an armed park ranger (whose fee is included), you will walk through the forest, getting a closer look at the smaller details of the ecosystem. This is a chance to see animals like giraffes, buffaloes, and warthogs on foot from a safe distance. Afternoon: Horseback Riding and Departure • 3:30 PM: Your walking safari will conclude at a designated point where your horseback riding adventure will begin. This activity, offered by specific operators, allows you to explore the park's trails from a different perspective. The horses are well-trained and accustomed to the wildlife, allowing for an intimate and tranquil experience. • 5:00 PM: Conclude your horseback riding and begin your final drive as you exit the park. • 6:00 PM: Your guide will drive you back to your hotel in Arusha, marking the end of your full-day adventure.
