4-Day| Ndutu & Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted by your professional safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or explore Arusha, known as the safari capital of Tanzania. Accommodation: Arusha Planet Lodge

After breakfast, depart for the Ndutu Conservation Area, part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. The drive takes you through Maasai lands, the green highlands of Ngorongoro, and into the open plains dotted with acacia trees. Between January and March, Ndutu becomes the stage for the wildebeest calving season, when over a million wildebeests gather to give birth. You’ll witness newborn calves taking their first steps and predators like lions and cheetahs waiting for their chance. This is a photographer’s paradise and one of nature’s greatest spectacles.

Optional activities, such as a guided walking safari or a night game drive, may also be available depending on your camp. Spend the day on thrilling game drives across the Ndutu plains. This is the best time to witness predator-prey interactions, with lions, cheetahs, and hyenas closely following the wildebeest herds. Alongside wildebeests, you’ll also see zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and elephants, as well as rich birdlife. Accommodation: Heaven Migration Camp

After an early breakfast, drive to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most famous safari destinations in the world. Descend 600 meters to the crater floor for a half-day game drive. Here, you have the chance to see the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—all in one place. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending and driving back to Arusha, where your safari ends.
