3-Day Tarangire/Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Safari

In the morning, after breakfast at your lodge/hotel in Arusha town, you will be collected by our personal safari guide and set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. It will take about 2 hours to reach the park gate. As we zip along, we pass many Maasai in their colorful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle and driving donkey carts. Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also home to a multitude of other creatures. In the evening, after the game drive, you will go to Migombani Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we descend 600 m into this magnificent crater for a morning half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a wide variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big drawcard of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.

In the morning, after breakfast at the campsite, you will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, located about 20 minutes away, for an exciting game drive. Lake Manyara is home to a variety of wildlife, including large migratory mammals such as wildebeest, zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and Grant's gazelle. These animals often move between Tarangire National Park, the Mto wa Mbu Game Controlled Area, and Lake Manyara National Park, creating excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. In the late afternoon, after your game drive, you will return to Arusha and be dropped off at your preferred hotel or lodge, marking the end of your safari.
