Overview
The Selous Game Reserve, covering 50,000sq km, is among the largest protected area in Africa and relatively undisturbed by human. Selous is rich in elephant, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, and many other species. The reserve also has an exceptionally high variety of habitats including Miombo woodland. Enjoy game drives and a boat safari at the park.

You'll be picked up at your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Drive to Nyerere National Park, a 4-hours drive. Enjoy landscapes and features of the country while you are driving. Arrive at lodge for a hot lunch then enjoy a boat drive where you will be able to see crocodiles and hippos. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Selous Safari Lodge.

After breakfast from the camp with packed lunches, enjoy game drives inside the park. Expect to see a large number of animals like lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, hyena, etc. You will also see a large variety of birds, wonderful scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. During the afternoon, you will take your lunch and have some rest before proceeding with the game drive. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Leave for early morning Bush walk in Selous Forest then return for breakfast and get prepared for return to Dar es Salaam with packed lunches.
