2 Days Chimps Trekking Gombe, Fly-in from Dar es Salaam

You'll transfer to Dar Es Salaam Airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma. Upon arrival at Kigoma Airport , meet your guide at Kibirizi Port for your boat to Gombe (3-hour boat trip). You'll be picked up on arrival and transferred to the camp for hot lunches at the camp. Afterwards, you will proceed with chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is the chimpanzee families that live protected within the park’s boundaries. You'll take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzees, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Vervet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, and dik-diks inhabit the dense forest, along with a wide variety of tropical birdlife.

By 8:30 am, you'll start chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Apart from chimpanzees, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. At mid-morning, you'll continue with a forest walk to see another attraction like Kikumba Falls or Makanga Falls and climb to Jane Peak for an unforgettable view of the park, looking like the green of Gombe Forest. Then in the afternoon, you will have some lunch. After lunch, you will be heading back to the national park entrance, where our boat will be waiting for the transfer back to Kigoma. Once you arrive in Kigoma, your guide will escort you to the airport to take a flight to Dar es Salaam.
