Day Trip: Tarangire National Park
Pick up at Summit Center–Arusha at 06: 00, the drive to Tarangire National Park will take about 2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful views of the local villages and Maasai herds on the way. Once we arrive at the park, we will be welcomed by the troops of baboons walking around, Tarangire is famous for its largest elephant population which has made this park to be famous. Also, the park has giant baobab trees nicknamed as the tree of life, the most famous is Poucher’s hide old baobab tree with slightly hidden entrance and an inside chamber that was formerly used by poachers as a hideaway. The poacher’s hide baobab tree has a diameter of 10 meters and is thought to have about 300 years. While in Tarangire You can also find many zebras, wildebeests, giraffes and even lions and cheetahs. We will have lunch at the picnic site in the park. Later your safari guide will drive you to Arusha
