It will depend on your arrival time. The driver will pick you up from the airport or your hotel. After about a 2-hour drive, you will arrive at Tarangire National Park, named after the river that flows through the reserve.
Tarangire is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, during the dry season. At this time, thousands of animals – including wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx – migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds.
The park is also home to over 500 bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers.
