Your journey begins early in the morning as you leave Arusha and set off toward one of the world’s most iconic national parks the Serengeti. The route itself is an adventure: you pass through the lush coffee farms of Karatu, weave your way around the Ngorongoro Crater rim, and eventually descend into the vast, sunlit plains of the Serengeti.
As the landscape opens, so does the wildlife viewing. Wildebeests gather in herds, giraffes stretch toward acacia leaves, and elephants slowly make their way across the grasslands. Your game drive begins the moment you enter the park, with your guide leading the way through known wildlife corridors.
By late afternoon, you arrive at your lodge or tented camp nestled in the wilderness. Today is yours to explore. You can choose to spend the full day out on the plains, with a packed picnic lunch under a lone acacia tree. Or you might opt for a morning game drive, followed by an afternoon siesta and a second drive before sunset.
Your guide will tailor the day based on your interests and the current wildlife activity. You may follow the paths of lion prides, wait patiently for a leopard to descend from its tree, or watch herds of elephants move slowly across the golden horizon. Cheetahs scan the plains. Hippos wallow in shallow pools. Hyenas cackle in the distance.
As the sun begins to dip behind the endless horizon, you return to camp, where dinner awaits and the stars begin to scatter across the sky.
