2 Day Tanzania Safari from Zanzibar

Your unforgettable Tanzania safari begins right from your hotel in Zanzibar. In the early morning, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for a scenic domestic flight—just under one hour—aboard a comfortable light aircraft to Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania. ​ Upon landing at Arusha Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a quick briefing, you’ll set off on a picturesque two-hour drive through the Tanzanian countryside toward Tarangire National Park, one of the most underrated gems in the northern circuit. Tarangire is renowned for its towering baobab trees, vast golden savannahs, and some of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. The Tarangire River, a life source during the dry season, attracts a high concentration of wildlife, making game viewing exceptional. ​ Once inside the park, your game drive begins in a specially equipped 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for optimal wildlife viewing. Expect to see herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, impalas, and perhaps even lions and elusive leopards. The landscapes change from open plains to seasonal swamps and riverine woodlands, offering an incredible variety of photographic opportunities and birdlife. ​ As the sun begins to set over the acacia-dotted horizon, your guide will drive you to a comfortable safari lodge or tented camp located near or inside the park. Wake up early for a spectacular game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and the rare black rhino—all within the steep crater walls. ​ After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, begin your journey back to Arusha, enjoying scenic views of the highlands along the way. You'll arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon and transfer directly to the airport for your flight back to Zanzibar. Your safari concludes with a scenic return to the island, full of unforgettable memories from Tanzania's northern circuit.
