Same Tourism Festival 2026 Gains Momentum as TANAPA and Stakeholders Rally for Season Three

Excitement is building in Tanzania’s northern circuit as the Tanzania National Parks Authority, in collaboration with tourism and conservation stakeholders, officially kicked off preparations for the third season of the Same Tourism Festival with a vibrant community jogging event held at the train station grounds in Same District.
The energizing event brought together local leaders, conservation experts, tourism players, and residents—symbolizing unity and commitment ahead of the highly anticipated festival scheduled to take place from April 10 to 12, 2026.

Speaking during the event, Same District Council Chairman, Yusto Mapande, emphasized the district’s ambition to rise as a leading tourism destination:
“We envision Same becoming a tourism hub in Kilimanjaro Region and ultimately a national benchmark for conservation, investment opportunities, and tourism-driven economic growth.”
He further highlighted the district’s commitment to transforming tourism into a key contributor to national revenue while empowering local communities.
