Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is one of Tanzania’s most distinctive and scenic wildlife parks, located in the northern safari circuit. It is best known for its vast elephant population, iconic baobab trees, and rich diversity of wildlife and bird species. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park year-round, becomes a vital water source during the dry season, drawing large concentrations of animals such as lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo. With its open savannahs, riverine woodlands, and seasonal swamps, Tarangire offers excellent game viewing and a more tranquil safari experience compared to busier parks.
